God Works Family Soup Kitchen

God Works is a coalition of people with a common goal of serving food to the homeless and working poor in the Monroe area. God Works is non-denominational and currently includes representatives from dozens of churches and secular groups and continues to welcome new members. Everyone in the God Works group believes that hungry people deserve to eat.

God Works Mission

God Works strives to be a starting point to positive change in the lives of the people it serves. Together with the commitment of our staff and volunteers, the mission of God Works! Family Soup Kitchen is to address the needs by providing not only food, but also an environment of care, love, support, and safety to those who come through our doors. Through our commitment of combating hunger, we provide the support and respect guests need to become self-sufficient and regain hope for the future. We provide those in need with food and with fellowship. Responding to all with respect and dignity. God Works! shall be guided in this mission by a deep compassion for basic common humanity.
